Tata Motors Limited is the largest automobile company of India and fifth place in the world to manufacturing medium and heavy commercial vehicle.
The company established in 1945 as Tata Engineering and Locomotive Co Limited and founded by Jamshedji Tata. The Tata Motors has also touching Rs. 20,483 crores in the financial year 2004-05.

The first truck has exported to Sri Lanka in 1961. It produced the first indigenously developed car as Tata Indica. In 2005, the company launched first indigenously developed mini truck as Tata Ace. In 2009, the Tata motors created history by launching first cheapest car of the world as Tata Nano. Since 1954, over 3.5 million Tata vehicles also including Tata Motors cars are currently badgering on Indian roads. Tata Motor's manufacturing plant has located at Jamshedpur, Sanand, Pune and Lucknow.
The popular models of Tata Motors cars in India include Tata Indigo, Tata Indica, Tata Safari and Tata Sumo. Commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles selling in February 2010 were 42,660 units and 47,108 units in orderly. The Tata has 23, 000 employee steel working.
